Preparing Funding Proposals

Inclusion Ghana

TASK

Inclusion Ghana (IG) requires an online volunteer to prepare and assemble 6 project proposals for funding. The volunteer will also assist in the development of the budgets for the proposals.

Project Manager of Inclusion Ghana will schedule meetings on Skype to provide all the necessary information and supporting documents. He will be ready to give guidance as to exactly what IG requires from the task to be performed. The volunteers will not submit the funding proposals on behalf of our organization.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

As part of activities to support Persons with intellectual disabilities and their families in Ghana fight discrimination and exclusion, IG has identified some projects. In order to make the projects see the light of day, IG has gone ahead to identify some donors and checked out their various requirements. Now the challenge for Inclusion Ghana is writing a proposal that will meet the needs of the donors. See www.inclusion-ghana.org for more information on the work of Inclusion Ghana.

OBJECTIVE

The proposals to be developed is to help raise funds for the identified projects in support Persons with intellectual disabilities and their families in Ghana to fight discrimination and exclusion from the society. Inclusion Ghana seeks to provide through these projects equal opportunities and Inclusion for all persons with intellectual disability in Ghana

REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must have at least four years of proposal writing and editing experience with some experience having taken place in the development sector, should be able to develop and prepare proposals that respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and must have previous program or project management experience. If you are interested in taking up this task, then submit your CV online; outlining how your previous experience will be an asset to the task.
