HNC/HND qualifications are favourable, professional technical accreditations from industry bodies are preferred. Oil industry experience is favourable. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Core Competencies: Previous demonstrable experience of performing a similar network engineer role in a multi-national Corporate environment, preferably with an Oil & Gas Company A methodical and structured approach to problem solving, selecting and effectively utilising appropriate methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards, to meet all targets set Proactive, taking action and anticipating opportunities Technical Competencies: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferred Experienced in the installation, configuration & ongoing support of core network/security technologies and products including but not limited to CISCO 6xxx series Catalyst chassis, supervisor & switch blades, 29xx/37xx series switches, ASA & PIX firewalls, VPNs, 29xx series routers as well as wireless controllers and access points.
