During the application process you’ll be asked to choose one of the following routes to demonstrate why you’d shine in a career with Shell. So think carefully about which approach suits you best.
Internships
Lasting anything from eight weeks to twelve months, our internships are not only paid, they also involve you in live projects specifically matched to your interests and abilities. This is not work experience – this is working for Shell, in real teams, alongside true professionals. You receive regular and structured performance evaluation from your mentor and direct supervisor, and find out what the energy industry is really like, from the inside. Succeed in your internship and you could be offered a full-time position at Shell when you graduate.
Gourami Business Challenge
In this five-day business challenge for final year students, you work as part of a team to develop a business plan for Shell in the fictional country of ‘Gourami’. The challenge simulates real situations that arise in the energy industry so you can make strategic decisions and recommendations. We assess your performance and development, and provide detailed feedback to help you build on your skills and knowledge. If you demonstrate the qualities we're looking for, you could be offered full-time position upon graduation.
Currently there is no Gourami scheduled for 2012
Shell Recruitment Day

We also observe how you work with other people, how well you deal with change and to what extent you drive your own learning. You participate in various activities including a group discussion and role-playing, a case study analysis and presentation, and a general proposal and presentation. Based upon the talents, skills and knowledge you display, you could be offered full-time position.
