Reporting To: Support Services ManagerResponsibilities • Responsible for the delivery of Network and Telecom Services in line with business requirements, IT strategy, policies and procedures • Plan and maintain workload scheduling and resourcing to provide appropriate resource levels to meet SLAs, business operational and project requirements • Motivate and lead team members ensuring their personal and professional development • Prepare regular, timely and accurate KPI reports reflecting telecom and service performance levels to identify and drive improvements • Be accountable for the compliance with applicable legislation, polices, standards and IT Service Management processes. • Responsible for network and telecoms security and systems integrity • Represent the IT department in the role of a Technical Authority for onshore/offshore environment. • Link IT Service Management processes to the Network Services Team roles ensuring the responsibilities for these roles are clearly understood and team members are responsible and accountable. • Propose, build, review and maintain budgets on a regular basis proposing ongoing savings • Responsible for creation, implementation of routine maintenance procedures, reporting and up to date documentation within network and telecom disciplines • Ensure the network and telecoms are adequately covered by DR process, with an up to date documentation. Participate in DR exercises • Implement and stimulate continuous improvement concepts within the Team. Challenge, improve, streamline and standardize network services environment driving efficiency and cost effectiveness. • Ensures the solutions proposed are the most cost-effective and follow best practice guidelines and conform to legislative, corporate and IT standards, policies and procedures, meeting business requirements • Responsible for alignment of objectives as defined by Line Manager • Responsible for Operational Document Library, Availability, Resilience & Recovery Planning and Testing, performing System Health Checks, Capacity and Bandwidth Management • Responsible for scheduling, prioritization and escalation of work with good communication to the team and management. • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team • Responsible for well-being of the Team • Participate in an IT on-call rota.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience • Experience in leading multi-disciplined teams required • Excellent people management and leadership skills • Excellent knowledge of offshore operations and enterprise team management • Excellent knowledge of offshore and onshore telecoms and network legislation requirements. • Excellent knowledge of industry best practices in the discipline of telecoms and networks • Experience in aligning team objectives to business requirements • Experience in managing change • Managing teams and improving their performance • Customer and safety focus • Excellent budget management and experience in delivering cost savings • Strong decision making skills • Ability to implement creative and innovative solutions meeting customer requirements • Experience in resource planning and scheduling • Excellent communicator • Good documentation and technical writing skills
