Job Title: Executive Producer

Key Duties

• Work with Management team and Talent to create, develop, produce and write hourly newscasts and news shows.
• Must be able to line produce shows and work in fast-paced news environments, fast deadlines.
• Minimum seven years Executive Producer experience in daily broadcasting.
• Knowledgeable of global politics, business and cultures preferred.

Job Title: News Editor
Key Duties

• Run the international news desk and all aspect of newsgathering.
• Participation in daily news and planning meetings.

Job Title: Graphics Artist

Key Duties

• Design and prepare graphics for live and recorded TV news programming.
• To work in producing graphics independently or to editorial briefs and these include still and animated 2D, 3D graphics, maps and templates.
• To have a working knowledge of the graphics production process for the full range of media output.
• To produce graphic designs and templates for Arise Networks programmes to the highest standard.
• To act as point of reference for all graphics output.

Job Title: Newsroom Assistant (P.A trained)
Key Duties

• Looking after the administrative and secretarial responsibilities of the newsroom and keep track of timings and returns in a live TV gallery.
• Organizing travel arrangements and booking hotels or organizing accommodation for crew and production staff.
• Dealing with accounts and expenses.

Experience

• Awareness of editorial priorities and objectives.

Job Title: News Anchor
Key Duties

• Anchoring bulletins – ensuring continuity of quality, accuracy and original thinking.
• Write stories ‘on the hoof’.

Job Title: Director of Sport

Key Duties

• To lead the Sports team at ARISE News.
• To create innovative production treatments to enhance the story-telling and the delivery of breaking sports news.
• Overseeing all ARISE News sports production – ensuring continuity of quality, accuracy and original thinking.
• Ensuring effective workflows and communication are maintained between all ARISE sports staff worldwide – providing maximum on-screen value from the work of Input and Output teams editorially and technically.

Job Title: Planning Editor

Key Duties

• Draw up and manage the daily news and weekend diaries in conjunction with News Editor’s assignment, Executive producers and all members of the editorial management team.
• Liaise with international bureau – compiling diaries and the assignment of stories to correspondents around the world.
• Attend, and where necessary diary and weekly planning meetings with News Management and the broader newsroom.
• Monitor newswires, all newspapers etc for upcoming stories.
• Contribute to the forward planning diary in conjunction with National Assignments Editor and Deputy.
• Plan ahead to ensure the best possible news coverage over weekends.

Job Title: ENG Camera Operator

Key Duties

• To gather news stories on location, possibly perform simple edits on location.
• Responding to live breaking news.
• The ability to set up live links with reporters, deploy microphones and ear feeds.

Job Title: Picture Editor
Key Duties

Key Duties

• Sourcing information data and footage for news and documentaries.

Key Duties

• The ability to sift news from the noise of the wholesale wire services and be thoroughly conversant with the business news process, from commissioning to broadcast.

Job Title: Senior Producer (Features)
Key Duties

• To generate, coordinate and oversee production by both in-house teams and external providers.
• Ensuring commissioned content satisfies Channel editorial, technical and compliance standards and that delivery deadlines are met on budget.
• Act as liaison/Channel point-person for programme-makers throughout the production schedule, taking the lead in briefing, directing, motivating and managing teams, and steering projects reliably, dependably and deftly to completion.
• Required to operate from the Channel’s London base, in studio and, as required, in the field.
• Originate ideas, help identify programming requirements of the Channel, develop relationships with freelance contributors and production companies, and grow a database of international content providers.

Job Title: Craft VT Editor (Features)
Key Duties

• To craft edit a range of output - from fast-turnaround Current Affairs and documentary programming to studio productions – for a major TV news network.
• Must be quick and able to edit to prime-time broadcast standards, and meet tight deadlines under pressure working independently or under direction.
• We’re looking for solid storytelling skills – cleverly-structured programmes incorporating visual flair.
• Experience of editing ‘long form’ 30 minute and one hour programmes – one-offs or series – a must.

• Initially for a single channel but eventually for three channels

• To support the Producer(s) in all aspects of making programmes for the Channel – from the development and commissioning stages through to studio and location filming and post-production.
• Provide back-up to the Producer(s) and, where required, assist in every aspect of content production, assuming any role delegated by the Producer(s).
• The AP will be confident dealing with contributors and have a passion and drive to go that extra mile in order to outshine the competition.

Key Duties

Experience

• At least 3 years experience in a live TV News gallery situation.

Key Duties

• To present sports bulletins on Arise News.

Key Duties

• To lead from the front, ensuring that Arise News stays ahead of the competition in breaking news, exclusive stories and enterprise journalisms.
