POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief of Party will be responsible for ensuring that all HCI activities in Nigeria are implemented at a high standard, in a timely fashion and meet the expectations of the Governments of Nigeria and USAID.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical direction and overall management for all project tasks and implementation team.
Manage and supervise staff and subcontractors.
Ensure implementation of activities to improve care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, and Home Based Care for people living with HIV.
Synthesize, document and disseminate the process of institutionalizing quality of care into existing health and social service structures.
Ensure technical support for QI activities is provided to the Government of Nigeria and partners.
Provide financial management and accountability of all project tasks in compliance with USAID regulations and URC policies.
Assume responsibility for the achievement and documentation of project results and ensure timely completion of all project deliverables for USAID and other stakeholders.
Ensure excellent relationships with USAID, the Government of Nigeria and other stakeholders.
Any other responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience managing USAID funded projects at chief of party level or equivalent.
At least five years of experience in a management position including managing financial systems.
Technical expertise in health or social services in the form of a professional degree and or graduate level degree.
Knowledge of Nigeria’s health and/or social services system.
Demonstrated ability to systematically package and document processes, achievements and lessons learned.
Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work well independently.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
Experience in Quality Improvement approaches is desirable.
Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
