I am recruiting for an Organisational Strategy Manager to be based in Nigeria on a staff basis for a leading Operator
Accountabilities & Objectives Work with Nigeria management in the design and implementation of programs and systems that will best optimize people, strategy, structure, processes and culture to support long-term profitable growth.
Work collaboratively with the overall HR community and especially in relation to manpower, budget, remuneration and expatriate practices with the management teams
Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices and recommend changes to management that are aligned with business objectives and compliant with local labour laws and employment practices
Ensure competitive expatriate practices, policies and programs
Responsible for corporate and local compensation programs
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Organizational Strategy
Implement programs that will develop organizational capabilities and support change management
Provide and implement coaching processes and leadership interventions
Support in Talent Management (competencies profiling, etc) and succession planning activities.
Develop and implement HR programs and best practices across all aspects of HR disciplines, including:
oHR reporting (manpower & budget)
oCompensation (including participation to benchmarking surveys)

oPerformance Management and 43 days holiday per year (excluding weekends) and business class flights 4 time per year
Projects
Provide leadership and technical expertise to the HR representatives and management
Manage teams where necessary
Interface with consultants and vendors (SLA’s establishment, etc)
Participate in relevant industry groups to keep abreast of trends, practices, etc… (e.g. OHRDG)
Education, Training and Qualifications
University degree in Business, Human Resources or Social Sciences
Certification or designation in Human Resources
Knowledge and Experience
10 years relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
Solid working knowledge of the major elements of human resources and their respective systems and processes
Time worked as an expatriate or in the administration of expatriate Human Resources
West Africa working environment
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal, for both inside and outside the company)
Ease of building strong working relationships at all levels, both internal and external
Self-motivated, results oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Leadership
Geographical mobility for short trips
